Piano Evening with Alessandro Martire

Presented by the Embassy of Italy in Singapore and Temenggong Artists-In-Residence, we welcome you to an unforgettable evening with the extraordinary pianist and composer Alessandro Martire! With his first concerto compositions at age 15, Alessandro has masterfully blended contemporary classical music with pop and minimalism. Whether in wintery landscapes, majestic mountain peaks or spectacular lakes, Alessandro is renowned for his breathtaking performances in the beauty of nature. Amongst his many accolades, he performed his composition The Future of Nature at the Expo City Dubai for COP28, the 28th annual UN climate conference in 2023.

Set in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, one will be taken away by Alessandro’s magical piano tunes, joined by Flavours Quartet, a Singapore string ensemble dedicated to bringing diverse musical styles, eras, and emotions.

This concert marks the beginning of a year filled with cultural celebrations for the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Singapore, where we celebrate and strengthen our friendships with music, art and the two nations’ cultural diversities!
